Get a cool grey market 5 speed. You know, one with a couple of old fashioned Strombergs. Something you need only a B.F.H. to fix! Hell, just get an old Series. You already have a comfy Cherokee for commuting!

I agree any grey market truck would be a cool rangie to add a couple mods to, particularly a 100 inch wheel base 2 door model. Those are my favorite, they are out there you just have to look hard.

i would go with a 1989. and swap in an LT230 when the VC goes out. someone is selling a few in the for sale section at very resonable price.

I agree with Rob D.(I've got one too!) The '89 has the 3.9 and many interior and drivetrain upgrades from earlier models yet does not have ABS and Anti-roll bars etc. Only things I don't like about '89 versus newer is visible hinges on front doors (no big deal) and crappy AC/heating systems. I also agree that changing TC when worn out is good idea.

RJ,

Be glad to. Just let me know. On occassion e-mail doesn't work too well with LRT so I'd give him a call. No problem in mentioning my name to him. If he goes brain dead on you, tell him I'm the one with the blue 109 or green RR. He'll figure it out.

This really could be a good bye as the work was performed by the techies.

RJ,

In Warren, Maine around early Dec. 1999. ECR just finished changing out the EAS for coils and we had it set up for the big y2k scare ready to be self sufficient for awhile in rural PA..

Again, glad to help a fellow D-Webber. I'm in Mexico City now and will be back this Friday. So, just let JD know I'm coming to keep him honest! lol. LRT is a very cool dealership. If you can't connect also let me know and I'll stop in on the way home from the airport to find out whats the deal.

Just let me know how I can help.

Jaime
