What's the weather like down there? We had to close our Charlotte office, is it that bad?

Keep us posted.

Thanks.

I'm "across the hills", lol, near Kingsport TN, on the TN-VA line, not too far from the TN-NC line either...

The snow itself isn't bad, it's the ice mixed in with it.... yick...

Our office closed early, like, ~11-ish this morning, so I headed on home.... LOTS of cars in the ditches, the Roo was fine tho'... big thing was when people were stupid and decided to go faster than they should have been.....

It's kinda sick to see the semi jack-knife in front of you at 5 mph..... Luckily, didn't block the adjacent lane, we just skated on around it, trying to avoid any potential snarls...

Office may be closed tomorrow, too, so I'll just sit here at home and play if so.... :)

We are waiting for it to hit central VA. Then we're heading out to play.

Well, its sleeting right now. The roads are fine at the moment (was drivin' my 2WD pickup truck, so its ok). The temperature is way down and going to go down more. The forecast is that we will have some of the bad stuff over night and then the storm will be gone by mid-morning.

But because Charlotte is not prepared for this sort of thing, I'm pretty sure the city will be closed tomarrow. At least the schools better be!

I am in Winston Salem, and the schools were closed today, and they are closed tomorrow. I had to come from Land Rover Greensboro to my house and it took 3 hours do do it, and normally it would take about 35 minutes. The roads around here are pretty slick. It is mostley snowing, but with some sleet/freezing rain intermidently.

This in the Carolina's! I'm in Denver Colorado and it is above freezing and we would be so lucky as to get snow.

I'm on Beech Mtn (5500'); and we've had 3-6" of snow, but the temp has been right around freezing all day, and now it's going up! Mostly changing to rain -warm air aloft, I guess

I'm down here in Orangeburg, SC. Had some freezing rain this afternoon, but in Calhoun County (just north of here) they closed the schools at 12:30 today. Not too many down here are prepared for this type of weather. I already have foul weather equipment.

I am in Myrtle Beach, SC.
It was 72 and Sunny.

All Night!

No...just kidding. It rained a little, but never got cold enough to freeze.
Stupid ocean warmed kept the coast warm so I have to work today.

So what exactly do your municipal departments do when the weather gets like this? Do they salt and sand or just wait it out?

I'm right on the VA/NC boarder right by the coast. We were actually spared. everything north and west of us got some kind of snow. All we got was the cold and the rain. Actually I would rather have the snow than the all the rain.

I do know that out Bristol call center closed as well as our Charlotte NC dist center and our Raleigh sales office. I think our Tenn. locations are having some challenges as well. Just received word that our DC location is closed as well.

TPH, I think VA has like one snow plow and it is based in Richmond !! lol, just joking! I think it is a lack of equipment/material and the current situation that dicates the plan of attack!!

In Charleston, SC it's 40F and raining. It's not that bad except for the fact that my door tops for Rita are in pieces. The bereeze is "refreshing" to say the least. For some reason I waited untill December to rebuild them. WTF??
