Hello folks finally arrived in San Antonio. I repaired the light problem in Denver with the healp of Charlie in Flatirons who showed me how to detect whether it was the switch, It was, I replaced it, replaced the broken main switch, added the M002 ARB high wattage harness from Roveraccessories for the headlights, and away I went. While on my way to Oklahoma to visit Rovercannibal My throttle cable broke a piece off the idle adjustment knob and got stuck at 2500 RPM, which meant with no foot on the pedal I would still keep a constant 65mph, when I would drive thru a small town and have to slow down to 35 It would be like trying to stop a tank!, a couple of times I had to stand on the brakes to stop the car at a light only to have the car chip the tires at the green when I popped off the brake. I pulled over found out what it was and fixed it for the moment, I later pulled over again when it got logged again and repaired it with tie wraps, which is still working today like a champ! So I visited to famed Roverecannibal. All I can say is that it's the MECCA to all Classics What an Incredible place. Bought a Dash top, Dash Under cover for the drivers side, drivers b pilar panel cover, and a throttle cable, The folks were excellent, They're doing service now which is awesome, Spoke to the techs, and pretty much everyone there, Kurt is really cool. I've heard negative things in the past, But I for one have never been disappointed with them. It was a great experience. They also have their own line of roof racks and Bumpers that they're making and are all excellent! I'm already making a list of other interior parts I want to buy from them while i'm in Texas and install before I leave to LA. After Rover Cannibal I went to visit Kevin at North Texas Rovers and met Jake, and Allen at the shop. Really nice folks, I wish I could of stayed for their party on Saturday night. Well folks I'll post some new pics on the site tomorrow night. All the best, Ozzie PS, I'll be in San Antonio until Jan 1st if anyone is around, then LA from the 3rd to the 5th, then back across to Miami by the 9th 305-216-8395 |
