I've got a quandry with my current ECU, and you either have an answer or you do not...

I'm running a Lucas ECU, model # 83617A; I've been informed this is an ECU found on North American SD1's and TR8's (flapper style EFI). I have viewed several wire diagrams for the SD1 and TR8, however, no wire diagram 1980 or later mentions a Bosch Lambda computer for the lambda 02 sensors.

Question...does anybody have a source of a pre-1980 SD1 or TR8 wire diagram and/or can verify the inclusion of the Lambda computer in addition to the ECU? And...since my current wire harness includes the Lambda computer, is this even remotely compatible with the # 83617A ECU?

BTW, this is in my Rangie and heck no it is not stock...

Hendrik,

thanks for the info. My suspicions were confirmed...my ECU is a POS!

Seriously looking at Wolf or SDS engine management now...
