I am putting a LT230 in my 89 RRC. I am getting the transfer case, front driveshaft, brake linkage and handle ,and CDL shifter linkage from a 98 Disco. Does anyone have any advice? Maybe what needs to be done electrically. Thanks

There was a great discussion on www.pirates4x4.com under LR vehicle. All sorts of interesting things were said under this topic so it should be quite helpful to you.

Pretty complete the LT230 you get.

Only thing coming to my mind is the splined-extension sleeve of the autobox. Your LT230 will have the newer, cross-drilled input gear which has longer splines - the extension of your autobox may not allow a long enough spline engagement. The extension thing has a ANR... Part# now(your dealer will know) and fits any older ZF 4speed autobox. Price is about 40-50$, if necessary.

Of course you will have to make a new diff-lock warning light.

Thanks!! I picked the parts up today. I know what I will be working on over Christmas.
