I am putting a LT230 in my 89 RRC. I am getting the transfer case, front driveshaft, brake linkage and handle ,and CDL shifter linkage from a 98 Disco. Does anyone have any advice? Maybe what needs to be done electrically. Thanks |

There was a great discussion on www.pirates4x4.com under LR vehicle. All sorts of interesting things were said under this topic so it should be quite helpful to you. |

Pretty complete the LT230 you get. Only thing coming to my mind is the splined-extension sleeve of the autobox. Your LT230 will have the newer, cross-drilled input gear which has longer splines - the extension of your autobox may not allow a long enough spline engagement. The extension thing has a ANR... Part# now(your dealer will know) and fits any older ZF 4speed autobox. Price is about 40-50$, if necessary. Of course you will have to make a new diff-lock warning light. |
