Is another (Wo)man's Treasure!!

Thanks Enoch for the brush guard...it looks great! I'll post some pics soon. I do want to get the wiring set for the lights though, do you know where I could get that?!

Thanks DiscoWeb for letting me meet great Land Rover enthusiasts and taking advantage of all the benefits relating...like buying other people's accessories!! :)

Get the Hella wiring harness. Get it from a Jeeper catalog since they are cheaper than the Rover catalogs.

Thanks John,
But they are "Rally (eye?)" brand lights. Does that matter?

No, it doesn't really, the hella harnesses are pretty beefy.

Thanks C-I'm gonna look around and see what I find. I will, of course, need help figuring out how to rig it all up! :)

LOL, Sus! You DO make me laugh. Don't you think dressing up your truck is a LOT more fun than dressing up, well, just about anything else you can think of? I just bought something for my Rover today, but it's SUCH a chick thing, I'm not telling. Your brush guard will get more appreciative looks, so enjoy!

Karen :)

Oh yeah ... Hey, Sus :) .. To address your origional post ... "one man's trash" ... Darn right about that ... When I got my new bumper, (on the "D2 family wagon", for whatever that is worth, LOL) I made sure that brushbar got a good home. Enjoy! :)

OMG, it's ROVERINE! I was about to shout out to ya Kim, you'd been gone so long!

Nope, neither seat covers (though that sounds good...), nor a wheel cover. Think: Mascot! LR sells one, but mine is MUCH better! Dead giveaway....

Now, someone ask why I'm up at 4 in the morning! Go ahead....ask! I'll tell ya. Because I'm a moron. I bought two fabulous old things off ebay, they both came today, and I'm dead allergic to them and have been coughing my fool head off all night. Damned ebay's gonna kill me....

Karen, coughcoughcough, hackhackhack.....

DID YOU GET THE TEDDY BEAR?! LIVINGSTONE?

No wheel covers...I have more faith in you than that! :)

Sus-
Glad to help out! It will look much better on your truck than in my basement. Combine it with the pre-trimmed bumper end caps, and you will be SET!
Merry Christmas to all.
Enoch

PS- Those lights are K-Mart specials. Don't get too worried about them.

Sus, you kinda busted me. Boys, close your eyes, this is girl-chat!

It's not Livingstone, if that's the LR bear, it's a Steiff bear. In one of my other personas I collect antique German toys, mainly Steiff. I'd never leave a $$$$ Steiff antique bear in the truck, so I got a replica (dirt cheap) that's dressed in Safari garb, including pith helmet, to ride shotgun. This bear is based on an antique Steiff bear that has made several journeys to Africa. They've done a couple of books with real photos of Massai warriors and the like and this bear! I'm not one of those types that think teddy bears have tea parties while we sleep and that sort of thing, but when I look at something that was made 100 years ago, and wonder where it's been, well, I just think it's cool. I need a car mascot, at least until I get dogs again. Man, I miss my dogs! Meant to tell you how cute your dog was in the snow picture!

Alright boys, you can look again.....cute chat is adjourned!

Karen :)

LOL! No, but I do have a few furry MICE, of the stuffed variety. The word furry always reminds me of a certain D-webber in AZ.....have I mentioned tomorrow is opening day for "The Two Towers"???? LOL!

Karen :)

That's great Karen!

I do like the LR bear...but I have a soft spot for Steiff! They have a Bernese Mountain Dog that I want soooo bad...although he's about $250!
I've had mascots for all my cars, but none so far for the Rover. If you have a picture, send it on! I'd love to see him.

PS. I agree. I've always loved stuffed animals, but the ones who have a little history have more character. That's how I feel about lots of things, namely houses and cars! :)

Enoch,
It looks great and was so easy. We didn't put the end caps on yet, or remove the air dam, but I'll do that next time. If I could wire those lights, they would come in handy for now...but I will probably replace them with some Hellas.
Thanks again!
