Hey guys,
I might be able to put together a trail ride at Raven Knob...It is a Boy Scout Camp about 15 minutes away from Mount Airy NC. There are 3,200 acres with logging roads all over. Most of them aren't to bad to drive and can be done with a stocker. They are fun to drive, and the scenery is pretty. Does anyone have any intrest?

When? I will be in Fayetteville, NC the week of Jan. 5th. The next weekend I might be able to link up (10th). Where is it in relation to Fayetteville?

Raven Knob is about an hour and a half directly north of Charlotte, located right on the NC, VA line. So, you are looking at probabley a 2.5-3 hour drive atleast.

I might make it, depending on the date.

Will, I will be in Fayetteville the weekend of the 10th. The 4th is no good for me. I "spoke" with a guy named Larry from CROC on their BB about going up to the Reigley (how do you spell that anyway?) to go on some local trails. I have a long trip back to Savannah, GA and don't need a broke axle or CV, so I 'm looking for something less extreme. What are your thoughts? If Mt. Airy is great I could do the extra drive.

Matt,

The trail Larry was refering to is a great local trail nearby that is suited for all vehicles. There are many hill climbs and mud pits, so you can choose what you take. If you do not want to take on the mud pit, you can go around. The entrance to the trail is a little twisty, but its good in an LR. I took my stock disco there last year (took all of the plastic crap off) and it did good. Mud tires would have been nice, but mud tires are always nice...

It sounds like great trails in January. Keep me posted and I think I'll be able to come. Thanks.

Max, the more the better! I have not talked to Larry in a week or so but it looks as though I will have Fri-Sun. Because of my drive back down south, Fri or Sat(or both) would be best for me. It is good to hear the trail is a good one. I hope wee all can get together. The best way to get in touch with me is at my email........ amlafrenz@aol.com

Hey Matt,

I live in Fayetteville and would be more than happy to head up to Raleigh with you guys. Give me a ring when you're in town and we can make arrangements to meet up with Larry and the gang at RCH.
