Hey Ho, what's wrong with the photos I sent you to put up on my new gallery? Sure, they weren't the world's most exciting Land Rover Discovery shots, but they were the best I had so far. I mean, this may not be the most extreeeeme LR shot ever taken:
But come on, it's has to be at least as good as this one you've put up since I sent you mine:
I bought discoweb stickers; why can't I have a gallery like the rest of all you cool people? Is it because my stickers are still nice and clean inside the envelope and not on the truck? Isn't Christmas supposed to be all about giving? Then how about "giving" me my own little corner of glory?
Sure, my pictures were just of me splashing around in an off-road park mud puddle, but at least I was out there having fun, not waiting for the "perfect opportunity" to get out and take some photos. Maybe I haven't been off-roading in the jungles of Siberia recently (or ever), but like the shepherds only had their praise to give to the baby Jesus, these poor photos are all I have to offer.
WELL I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED! My photos SHALL be seen by the discoweb community, and the WORLD BUWUHAHHAHAHHAHA. How long have you given Ho to make the gallery??? Have you tried talking to him about it over email first??? |

OK obviously I need to make it clear ...
THIS WAS MEANT TO BE A JOKE!!!!
Of course it would be neat if the pictures get up into my gallery, but this was supposed to be all in good fun. You know, in the "General Non-Tech" portion of the board.
I'm sure Ho has much better things to do than put up some mediocre pics of me driving through some lame puddles (although it was still lots of fun). If/when somebody puts them up, cool. If not, fine too.
OK?!?!
This was the first collision of my new lift/tires and my digital camera, so I was excited to take some pictures and put them up. That's basically it.
Now please go back to your regularly scheduled broadcast... |

Well, another good potential flaming thread killed by Andrew's act of contrition! 
Just remember that humour/sarcasm is very dependent on inflection, tone, and facial expression - none of which are visible in an email!

Ha ha, I thought you were freaking out because Ho was taking more than a day to put up your gallery or something.
You should send him some anyway, my gallery is pretty lame simply because I don't have a digital camera and don't usually wheel with a camera anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know I actually have a truck. |

Well, there are certainly enough wackos on this board who would have posted what I did but been serious about it ... that's the really scary part :-)
I did send Ho the pictures a week ago but he hasn't put them up yet. I noticed he's put up a few other galleries since I sent him my pictures, hence the posting.
Anyways, I was expecting some flaming, but I also expected people to realize I was kidding!!
Oh well, a Merry Christmas to all. |

Did the pics you sent him meet this criteria? (taken from the Photo Galleries section):
" Must be 640 x 480, make the file names in some numerical sequence and NO SPACE." |

Well actually the pictures were AT MOST 640x480, i.e. some were like 640x400, 500x480 or whatever, depending on how I cropped them. Also they were labeled in a numbered sequence like ...1.jpg ...3.jpg ...4.jpg or whatever but I can't imagine that would be a problem. |
