Check engine light came on the other day when I gassed up and code 48 was on the computer under the seat.
my horns are not working at all. Is there a fuse to check or how do I go about testing them to track down the problem?

I went to that sight already, and I am not sure what a continuity test is. and how to begin. info on this would be great.
As for the horns I took the grill off and everything looked good, the connections were tight, and the horns were screwed on good. Would one horn not working affect the other?

i think it might be the wire up at the button in the turn signal or even the button itself. you can take the switch of and do the continuity test, or even easier just jumper the wire at the switch and see if the horn honks.

a continuty testproves that the curcuit makes a loop, or complete curcuit.

you can get one of those lightbulb testers because i recon you aren't familiar with a meter.

if there are no broken wires within what you are testing the battery from within the tester (one AAA) will flow thru the wires and light the bulb in the tester, showing that you have a complete curcuit.

if it does not light up then either there is a small relay that is within the part that wont allow it to complete or the wires you are touching are not on the same curcuit OR _you have a broken or bad wire_.

on the 1990 range rover is there a horn fuse. like most other vehicles. I cant find it in the book anywhere. I tested the horns they work, so it is either a fuse that i havent found yet or a bad switch.
