Hi Guys:
Vehicle: 94 RRC.
Yesterday my two week old "rebuilt" alternator died while I was in the desert about 25 miles from surfaced roads. I'm thinking of replacing it with a GM part. Anyone know of a 100 amp alternator that would fit? I'll be able to fabricate brackets so that's not as important as getting one that has provision for the tach connection.

Thanks for your help,
Andy C

Andy,
I have a 1990 RRC. I replaced my alternator with a 130 amp model. It is specifically off of a '95 Mustang GT V8. You will need to make a bracket and play with the electrics a little. But a much better alternative than the stock unit. I need to write up an article over this. There have been quite a few Q's regarding this lately.

Thanks for the info Larry.
It looks like I may go that way too. Can you post details of the wiring method you used, or email me at [email protected]
Thanks,
AC
