Today in Norcross GA I saw a green D90 that was non NAS...It had ARB front bumper, white steel wheels, no roll cage, off-whitish roof, etc.

i THINK it was a lady in her late 30s/early 40s driving it...but it could have been a man with long hair

Anyone know who this may be/or know of the legality of the truck??

WR

Will, I've been seeing an ODD D90 on 400 for the last few days. It sticks out because I pass the same LRs every morning going north and again in the evening going south. It's green with a white top. Thought it was a male driver.

The Overland Tours call is pretty good. I know the guy who built a couple ex-Series III to look like a D-90 for the tour group. The description sounds right.

The Overland Tours thing was a joke.

So you actually know someone who did business w/ these guys and their "just send $15K to our bank account in Thailand" bull-shit?????

I do not know anything about the company except that they suposedly take rich people who want to go on a "safari" to the N. GA mountains.
They guy who built their Rovers is in JAX, FL and actually does good work. www.landroverworldflorida.com I think

You must be thinking of something else or there is actually a legit Overland Tours. The guys I am refering to were trying to sell D90s and 110s out of either central or south america I believe. They said the first step was to wire them a bunch of money to a bank account in Thailand, and the pictures of the trucks they had on their web page were mostly of the same truck w/ some photoshop stuff done to make it look different in the pictures of the "other" trucks. They got shut down pretty fast after a few people around here started making inquiries about the pictures and contacted their web space provider.

I was wrong. The place is called Safari Tours or something like that. They are located in Atlanta and have had a guy in Jacksonville, FL rebuild Series III to look like a D90. If you go to the website I listed above and click the opening page Safari Tours (top left corner) it will send to the page and you can see the Rovers.
