Couple of us heading out there, anyone interested?

Meet at the little store in Rawley Springs sometime in the morning?

I'm interested. The little store you are talking about is McDorman's isn't it? Has 2 gas pumps out front and the building next to them has a long gravel driveway with signs saying "No Parking" or something like that? What time you want to meet peole there? 9am? 10am? I'm in N.VA so it will take a couple of hours for me to get there.

Maybe we'll get some snow to make things a little more fun.

Jason:
We have some friends coming over on Sat, Sun is the only day I could do it this weekend.

Eric:
I don't think it's called McDormands, I think McDormands is the store a little farther east that actually faces east, right across from Muddy Creek road.

THe store I'm thinking of does have two pumps out front, faces North, is a little further west and is *real* close to the road. The building next to it has large columns I think and they have a dog pen in the back. We talkin the same place?

We could meet between 9:30 and 10AM.

hmmmm, the place that I'm thinking of is right on 33 about a mile or so past the turn off that would take you to old long run (the church entrance side) if you are going towards West VA. Big gravel drive way also have a wood post fence that runs along it to the house behind the buildings. That the same place that you are thinking about?

Naw, I guess that's a different place. Where's 33 in relation to that?

Why don't we just all meet at the NEW sheetz on 33? We all have to pass it and you sure can't miss it.

Good with me. Which side of town is it on? I haven't seen it yet.

Michael, 33 is right in front of the black jeep you just can't see it in the picture.

We can meet at the new sheetz (though I haven't seen it either). I'll be going south down 81 and then getting on 33 from there so is this sheetz after I drive through Harrisonburg or in Harrisonburg?

Michael, I'll email you my cell phone number just incase. But, I'm in. Sheetz at 9:30-10:00am

Thanks for the email, Mike.

I'll try to make it, in the series truck. Disco tie rod ends are totally shot, need to be replaced, a little worried about driving it much. Not sure, but I may be camping over that way somewhere, anyway, Sat. night. 9:30-10 at the new Sheetz, on Sunday.

The new sheetz is easy to find. From the intersection of 81 and 33, just go west on 33 and you will see it on the right about 1/2 mile from the intersection. Mike and Enoch, you will finally be able to see Koren's Land Cruiser after $3900 and 9 weeks of work. Enoch, did you get my e-mail? See you Sunday.

Good deal, I'm comin over Swift Run Gap anyway.
FWIW, there's a lot of water coming off these hills lately, we have a ton down here in the foothills, creeks I haven't seen with water in 2 years, raging.

I brought my camera but, I didn't really use it. Was fun though. Water crossings (dry river) actually had some water flowing so they were deeper then ussual and the snow just made things more slick.

I have a few pics, but they're all fairly serene. The one place I should've had the camera out, I didn't.

Other than trying to pull my series truck up Dictum's it went fine! Hope you guys did OK on second mountain. Wheeling in a series on a cold, wet, snowy day has to be experienced rather than described...

Ya, it went fine, we also went and ran Old Long Run too. Hope your flu didn't get worse from driving around without a real heater.. You should wire a power converter to your battery and put one of those safety ceramic disc heaters in the truck some where to keep you nice and warm.

I survived. That's not a bad idea on the ceramic heater! Also, the rain-x stuff was a godsend on the interior glass to prevent fogging. It will become a part of my traveling kit from now on.

Ya, it also probably helped that you cleaned them with the glass plus wipes I gave you.. :) For a heater I was thinking something like this http://www.webhelper.com/wholeearth/pelonisheater.html

I have one that I use at home and it will warm up a pretty good sized room.

Those wipes were what I meant. I need to find some of those.
