I need a new exhaust system for a D1, My muffler has rusted out and my pipes are cracked. Is there a good after market setup that would give better performance (and not be loud) Or should I just take it to a muffler shop like Midas? Is this a do it myself job if I order parts? |

I just changed my system from cat back. It now has a magnaflo muffler and no resi. A little louder but better. all for less than $220.00 at a muffler shop. |

I'd find a good reputable local shop. I found a an independent shop that will do custom stainless & flowmaster from the cats back for $300 (and you can ditch the rear resonator). I've read here that summit racing makes cheapo replacement cats too. Meroow! |
