So who got snow and how much? Here in N. Vermont we finally got hit after a long drought. We have a good 10"-12" and it looks beautiful compared to the frozen brown ground. The southern parts of VT got 15"-20". As I stood in the kitchen this a.m. pondering my day my neighbor's black Disco came flying by. She was heading down about 2 miles of snow covered dirt road to get to the main road. It was a beautiful sight indeed with the snow flying up from the black truck against the fresh white snow, a true Kodak moment. Well have a good weekend all, if you ski or board we have it going on up here for ya!

We got pounded here in Abany, NY. AGAIN! There is about 20-24" in my backyard! BIG DIG!

Yesterday, I went to get provisions (Milk & Beer) and other vehicles were sliding all over the place. The trusty D2 with the tracking control and ABS got the provisions home safe and sound clicking and pumping the entire way!

Well, we got freezing rain here in North NJ. Wet snow all day yesterday and when the temp dropped even lower last night, all that slush turned into about 1" - 1.5" of ice! Here's what it looks like this morning...

"85 degrees and sunny today ..."

sniff, sniff, wheez, cough, I know!!! Some of the nicest weather we've had in a while - crisp, clear, warm, and beautiful ... (LOL, dang it, that's why we pay what we pay to live here for heaven's sake!) ... And I've had this stinkin' flu/cold from hell the whole time! This is the second or third time in a month, and the damn relapse is worse! :(

(sorry, just so darn frustrated ... had to bitch a little)

Kim
going to enjoy myself outside tomorrow come hell or high water :)

Bummer about the cold and flu nastiness, Kim! Maybe you need to come East and play in our snow! Yes, even we Merliners got a little today. Came earlier than expected, and was heavier than expected (but still just a few inches, and that North of us), but since we have the Disco now, we just plowed on through it! We boldly drove North, into the snot, leisurely antiquing the day away, watching out the shop windows as it fell, completely relaxed at the prospect. Drove the hour-plus home with nary a care, which would NOT have happened driving that brick of a Volvo we own. Stopped for a lovely dinner, watched more snow fall, still didn't care. God I love this truck!

Now Kim, get better, or I'll drag you out to the winter weather to clear things up! LOL!

Karen :)

We got about 2 to 3 inches in western Philly burbs, but its still snowing now so who knows how much we will get.

I know I can make it stop snowing though, if I just go out and put on my winter wiper blades that are sitting in the basement, it will probably never snow again. :)

"We boldly drove North, into the snot, ..."

LOL, oh please KJ, please don't use the word *snot*! LOL ... Been through two boxes of Kleen-ex today! (eeeeewwww, sorry all!) LOL, I don't think *Aragorn* (got the spelling ;-) would find me very attractive right now, LOL!!!! I know what you mean about the old Volvos in the snow KJ. My sister had a Volvo station wagon a few years back that was some fun in the snow, and even more so in the icier conditions - Talk about "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride"! Glad the Disco topped off your day. Sounds like a beautiful time. :)

Greg P. - You're sure as heck right about making the snow stop - just get those winter wiper blades out, LOL

Kim :)

Paul, I was going to mention the surf, but didn't want to rub it in (or frustrate myself even further).

How was it down south, I didn't get a chance to talk to anybody today. Just sat out front and watched a couple of Kamakaze kayakers go at it for a couple of hours until htey both lost all their gear and washed into the cove.

Kim, I'm down in Newport all the time. A freind of mine lives in those Condos above the corner of Superior and PCH. We always end up at the Stag Bar and Sharky's. Too much fun, I don't think I've ever left that town without one hell of a hangover.

Well, sorry Karen, I didn't get the blades on and of course it is snowing again all day today here. Not as bad today, but it's still coming down. I'm getting pretty sick of shoveling that driveway though.

This is what I get for wishing for snow last winter. I guess the wish granters were backlogged and just got around to my wish from last year.............. :)

Dee, I love those warm Santa Ana's, like you said, especially in Jan. However they really 'blew me away' today, LOL. Almost the devil winds.

Paul, yes, Newport is indeed special. :) Newport PD is bad ass though so you best take care. Many (many!!!LOL) years and memeories for me. I live about 10 - 13 miles inland. I wouldn't raise my kid on the penninsula (besides it seems like too many times we try to have a nice laid back drink or meal there, we end up having a "Dennis Rodman encounter", LOL). Huntington Beach and Bolsa Chica appeared to be the place for the best swells today. haha, not that I was there. Like I said, 'blown away', LOL

Our final snow fall after the weekend was about 18 inches in my yard. Not a big deal for us but still looking forward to Spring already. It's funny, some towns only 10 miles away had only 2 inches!
