Anyone know of a cheapo way to mount a high lift jack to the spare wheel?? I saw a cool outfit in the new AB magazine, but was looking for something inexpensive... Also made a new site today: www.geocities.com/kyunimogs/rover check it out! Thanks! Hunter |

Cheapest way is to mount it to your front bumper if you have something like an ARB. Or inside your roof rack. I don't know what size hi-lift you have but the spare tire isn't a good place for the 60" jack and the one in AB is sold as for the jackall not the hi-lift or did they come out with a new one? Also try http://hometown.aol.com believe it or not there are fewer popups over geocities. |

Oh yeah, i guess that is for the jackall, whoops. Anyway it looked like a good idea. If i have the time, i guess i'll just make up a piece like what they're selling. No rack and very slim bumper makes it difficult to mount anywhere else on my truck. thanks for the help!! Hunter |

My favorite spot for the 48" jack is across the floor of the back seat. I know it's not as cool looking but it's easy to get at. |

If you do that make sure to tie it down with something, it would suck to the highest degree if that thing hit you in the head during a roll over. |

I agree with Al and with Carter, that is why I have mine across in the same way and tied down to the seat belt hooks that just happen to be underneath it. |
