Wow..i had my left brake light out and I "rechecked" the fuses and one of them was blown out. Recheck all your fuses, even the ones under the hood. Also make sure that the bulb holder is properly attached to the tail light assembly. However, i am still having problems with my tail light brake lights..anyone have any tips on what may cause this?

well, just rechecked them for the "third" time. still no left brake light. even checked the fuses under the hood. incidentally, if it was a fuse, wouldn't more than one brake light be out? i'm thinking of rewiring my rear fog lights to the upper brake light if i don't figure this out soon.

That sound like an excellent plan actually. I may do the same if I cannot get mine to work. Hey!....it beats going to the dealer if you can manually rewire them....good luck, Glen

necessity is the mother of invention. those extra lights would be more useful for brakes than fog anyway. after the complete stereo overhaul i just performed (gee, thank you land rover for not maintaining the wire color codes all the way to the speakers), this should be a piece of cake. :)

Check the bulb's resistance - sometimes there can be an invisible break in the filament or elsewhere. And check the voltage on the sockets.
