Some times my key seems to get stuck in the ignition. Am I doing something wrong? What should I do? What does this mean??

key might be bent a little. get some new ones from the dealer and see how they work.

try pushing the gear selector all the way forward when putting it into park.

Make sure gear selector is sitting properly and the thumb button has popped out all the way, or the key won't come out. It's happened to me a couple times. Now when I park, I wiggle the selector to make sure it's sitting properly and not in between gears.

Yeah, mine does this too on my '94 D1 (114k+ miles)

I took it into the dealer for another matter (I couldn't get my remote key fob programmed and they said they'd do it for free) but when they tried they noticed my key would get stuck too.

I have since got a new key and its not the key. The guy at the dealer said that the ignition switch has worn out and that is what is causing the problem. I guess I got another thing on the list to replace.

Hey guys.. this is a normal issue for Disco's... eventually you will need to replace it but go out and buy some lock graphite.. squirt some into the key and you will notice wonders... basically the graphite is a lubricant for lock mechanisms.. won't gum up the lock like wd-40 will and will help you out.
