Hi All, My cruise contol sometimes works perfectly, other times it cuts out, sometimes after an hour or more of use, sometimes after just a few minutes. After it cuts out, I can sometimes reactivate it immediately, sometimes not for a few hours, so it doesn't seem like your typical leak. Any ideas on what to look for would be appreciated. Thanks! |

david seems as though your having some electrical problems. same here. for cruse control check your rear brake lights. check to see if they are coming off after you push the pedal down. if not then the cruse will not work. and if lets say that you are in cruse and it cuts out im gussesing that the pedal has activated the lights, may be over a bump or something |

Hi Chris, Thank you for your response. I've been trying to narrow it down all day. The rear brake lights work as they should perfectly. In fact sometimes I can drive for an hour or more and then the cruse control cuts out. Just the slightest of touches on my break pedal will activate the rear brake lights and cut off the cruse control(as expected. At first I thought going over a slight bump in the road was doing it b(causing the break pedal to actiate the rear break lights) except if I try to activate the cruise control again, it doesn't activate. **On two occasions (out of many) I tried shuting off and putting back on the cruise control dashboard switch and then activated the cruise on the steering wheel and voila, it worked! This though was only successful 2 times out of many. The dashboard cruise control switch always lights up when pressed on but I wonder if the switch itself is the cuprit? Is that possible? Thanks! |
