Hi All, I have a problem with a electrical connection to my rearview mirror and though what appear to be happening is fairly self-eveident, I wondered if anyone has any ideas how to fix it. Here is the problem: Both the Auto-dim feature as well as the maplights sometimes work and sometimes not. Either both features work or not simultaniously. Occasionally if I "jiggle" the rear view mirrow I can get both to work and they stay on for a short time and then go out. It appears there is a loose connection somewhere. Has anyone had this problem problem and have ideas what I can try to resolve it. Thanks in advance for your help. |

Hi All, I think I found the problem as the connector on the back of the mirrow may have loose wire or more likely there is oxidation on the multi pin connector. Just a light touch on this connector, brings the map lights and dimming feature of the mirrow back to life. Hope thats all it is. |
