Anybody done business with these folks? I'm tempted if I can get the price down. If not, I may go with an ex-MoD SIII 109 for cheap.

You can find this truck on D-90.com.

It is Steve Friedman's, and a nice one at that.

They also seem to have a 2002 D110 TD5 diesel listed for sale and mention they can legally sell in the US. How is this?

Must have been purged because a search of Discoweb.org comes up with nothing on Hunting Ridge Motors.

So is the general concensus that these folks are ok?

Greg P,
Its easy you strip all the mechanicals out (Engine Xfer case and Transmission, Radiator, Gas tank those simple things to remove. Then ship the rolling carcass in a container, The mechanicals have to ship separately then reinstall all and title it similar to a kit car or salvage title there is a minor sub frame modification required (an extra cross member I believe) some paperwork (This is where it gets tricky) and you have a DOT legal 2002 D110... No Im not 100% sure on all the details but that is the abridged version and its being done by several companies out there right now Im going to build a dullie for myself next year...

I got an XD from Mark Starr at Hunting Ridge a couple years ago, it was exactly what he said it was. I did have to do valve job and some other things not too long after which I wasn't happy with but that was not something I blame on him but rather Land Rover and possibly the past owner. It is a problem with many disco's as I'm sure most of you all know though.
