I am new to land rovers, a transport from the jeep world... I am looking for some rocker protection that doubles as a step. I have been looking at the arb's but is there anything else that is better???? thanks.

I'll second the RTE sliders w/step. Great protection and my wife (5'2") loves them, especially since the lift.

I am pretty set on the ones from rovertym but I have seen pics of tubular looking ones also, does anyone know who makes those?

SafariGard does ($G), so does Trek (TrekOutfitters), and Bearmach too but none of them make tube ones that I've seen (but, Bearmach would be the one that might); and, I've not seen any tube ones that are really usable for real protection.

I've seen the Trek, $G and Rovertym used on D2's. And of all the non-custom made sliders I've seen Rovertym is the only ones I would ever consider. Why do you want tubular?

Rockware possibly? they seem to do a lot of tubular stuff.

Rockware is a good option if you're near them. They generally need the vehicle to build anything.
