Here goes bought the car the begining of Nov. Bought it to be a bad weather car for my fiance and I. 1998 Discovery LSE, with 76K miles. Second owner, had the car inspected at a local L/R dealer. Pulled the complete history because as it turns out the car was bought there new. Spent 2k to get it better then perfect. Replaced things just to be safe. All new hoses, belts, new brakes (pads & rotors), complete draing of all fluids and replaced with new(trans, oil, coolent). Also, new thermostat and all new ball joints. Every filter replaced, fuel, Air (K&N), and trans. Then I spent $300 to get the couple of door dings taken out(I hate parking lots) End result my fiance hates it hates driving it. So I want to sell it now, how much is it really worth. I looked on Kelley's and the way I figure it to average the Retail and the trade in and that is what it is worth. Any ideas? Am I right in my thinking??

I 2nd the above. Easy keep your truck and dont let her drive it, gives you a reason to take hert car places and save fuel in your disco

Believe me I have thought about that I am just trying to get an idea. How bad a hit I will take. Thanks

Dude, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but, if there's another thing LRs are good for other than 4-wheeling, is the depreciation . Although the previous owner already took the first hit. I would say, it's probably worth around 12K.
