Can anyone tell me what size wipers/blades go on the Disco II? I need to replace both on the windscreen and the one in the rear as well. I'd like to replace them with PIAA wipers (b/c I can get them at cost!), but the PIAA website doesn't have the Disco II listed. They say the Disco I's windscreen takes a size 7 (18"), but I'm not sure if those were changed on the Disco II at all. Any info. is appreciated!

Here is the problem Duane, there is no replacement wipers, the only ones you can get for now is the genuine ones. I have the same problem, I wanted to get winter wipers but the D2 has its very own arm. There is nothing out there that will fit, but if you don't want to go to the dealership and pay 45 something call up Atlantic British I think they have D2 blades for $12.95 each.

Do you really need the whole wiper? I just replaced the blades for $4 each, and they are perfect. Just a local auto shop will have them. Its very simple!

I replaced the blades like Dean Brown. You just need to pry out the tabs on the end of the wiper arm holding the blades in place (leather man or needle nose pliers work well). However, I can't remember the length of the replacements except that they were long and you need the narrow ones.

I think the length is like 205 or 210 for Drivers side and smaller for passenger and rear. I do the same. Replacing the rubber from your local auto parts store is way cheaper than the dealer route. Plus they last alot longer.

I was out of town and my wife needed new blades on her D2 awhile back. I told her to go to AutoZone and they even put on the replacements for her. Can't beat that.

We had to replace the ones on my dad's D2. We just took the old blade in, and they matched it up with a new one. And we put them on with no problem, just a few bucks.

Autozone ANCO W-21R's is what I just did for mine. Refill's $6 for a pair. Not the metal holder part.

haven't tried the rear yet...

Winter blades. I have them on my truck and have never had a problem with ice build up.

What are winter blades? They have heaters in them?

I recently replaced just the rubber squeegy on mine with relpacements that slid on (in). Sure improved cleaning of the glass. About $6-9(?) & 10 minutes and I had new wipers. They are a German or Scandanavian product I think and fit perfectly after I figured how to manipulate the springy thingy. Got them at NAPA.

I recently drove a loaner at my dealer and noticed the wipers had little plastic wings on them as if the curved blade helped press the blade against the glass a little firmer. Don't know if they are OEM or what?

The thing that would help me would be to have a heated windscreen up here in Maine - but on this Disco that's not an option - maybe my next one???

Dean, the winter blades come with a new frame piece also. I have a set ready to put on, and will probably get it done this weekend. The only difference I can tell, is that the blade frame is more solid so there are not gaps for ice to build up inside the spring.

Anyone else know if this is right?
