I owned a 97 discovery i, it was involved in an accident and was totalled.
I am looking to replace it with a newer one and would like any advise on what years are better than others. I know that the disco ii had some inital problems, but I have not kept up to date with this message board.
Any help? |

The initial problems with the D2 have been taken care of. The problems that remain are common in both. Bottom line if you're going to wheel I would go with a D1. If you're mainly looking for on road use I would go with the 1999-2000 and 1st 1/2 2001 (CDL capable) D2. Stay away from the NON-CDL capable D2's in 2001 and 2002.
