ALL,

2000 D2 SE7, 47K

As a somewhat new member of the LR family (love it), I recently switched on the front windscreen defroster to take care of a foggy glass problem (never used it up to this point-always used the a/c). After the 5 minute timer was up I couldn't see where it did anything. The rear defroster works great.

Anyone have any problems with theirs?

There does not seem to be too much to the system asise from windscreen, switch and relay?

Any thought are appreciated.

For the front windscreen, I have always found using the a/c much quicker to clear foggy glass.

Now, using the heated front windscreen to clear ice...that's the true test.

Barry is right on. Last month I got to my car at the same time as the guy next door. It was the typical suburbia scene with two guys going to work at the same time. I got into my Disco, turned it on and hit the button to heat the front windscreen. The guy next-door turned on his car and took out the scraper to remove the film of ice on his car. I was on the road with a clear windshield by the time he had cleared his driver side. Bottom line it works great. But on the downside a few filaments have broken and there are a couple of lines that no longer heat.
