Hey all. Well I have just traveled from nashville tennessee all the way to jackson hole, wy for the semester and after being here a full week, yesterday the amber check engine light came on. I have checked to make sure the gas cap is on and checked the oil. Any suggestions for me without having to travel 5 hours to a rover dealer? Any help on to what caused this is welcome. It is cold and mountainous here and the gas octane is only 91. Thanks
Andrew

Find a autoparts store that might loan or rent an ODBII code reader. Grab the P Code and we might be able to help.

Any other rovers running around JH? You might ask the owners (assuming they are locals) where you could get help closer and better than the dealer?

Help! Yesterday I had the engine cleaned and now it is running rough. I had this happen once when going through a water filled mud hole. The engine ran rough for about 15 minutes and then ran normal.

This time the engine ran rough longer. Then when I was stopped at a light, the check engine light came on and the engine began to run smooth again.

On the way to work this morning, the engine ran rough for moments, especially at idle, then fine at high RPM. Check engine light is still on.

My initial thought is some component of the ignition system is wet and causing missfiring. How do I find out what is going on?
