what the hell, you would think the washerfluid came from the enormous barrel under the bonnet right...well i have front washerfluid, but no rear? but i can hear the bloody motor crankin away. any help, please? is there a second container for rear fluid??? or did another part shit the bed??? 96 disco SD

Sounds like a blocked pipe.... I am not aware of a second reservoir for washer fluid... and since you started it... I think you need your pipes cleaned! Ha!

Their is a check valve behind the washer tank that goes bad frequently. I would inspect this by removing the check valve from the pump side and pressing the washer button. If it works install the check valve on the pump side of the line with the other side disconnected and press the button again. Chances are the check valve will not "put out" and will have to be changed for one that will "become moist inside" and "put out"
