Anyone ever have the sunroof added? My Disoc doesnt have one. I called Land Rover and they said they can put it in for about $300 each window. Is it worth it? Anyone ever had it done? $300 seems pretty cheap actually, especially coming from the dealer. What are your thoughts?

i have an aftermarket roof, it is made by Hebasto, honestly it works better than a landie one and it's already tinted. none of those stupid flap things.
on the other hand it also doesn't go back as far as a normal rover roof would. aslo it just doesn't look as nice as a pro-installed landie one would. but it sure as hell cools the truck down in the summer.
my advise is if you are going to do it, get the factory roof(s) i would love to have 2, and just dont leave them open for even the slightest amount of time, downpours will fuck up the ceiling quite badly...

$300 each? WOW! I've been quoted $890 each. You are lucky.

as jrov hinted at, whatever you do go aftermarket, the genuine ones suck ass w/ a capital "A"

Robert,
I had 2 added recently....do it it makes a world of difference. The tint is great but as jrov said they dont seem to open as far, but I am happy with them. An added bonus that we aftermarket guys get is that when you shut off the rover the sunroofs automaticly shut! Do you have the rear A/C option? If you do then they can not add a sunshade due to lack of room..so I was told. I am sure you could make one if you really want to. Overall I am very happy and do not want to add a shade as the tint does a great job.

Where can I get them for $300 a window? It would be worth the drive...

Robert,
I paid 1K for 2 sunroofs. The company was endorsed by Land Rover so it is covered under the LR warranty. The model was webastohollandia stratos 300. here is an 800 # that might locate a dealer close to you. 1 800 229 5847. Good luck!
