I need a better manual for working on my 92' RR. Is the LR Service manual the best for a DYI guy? What I have is the Haynes and I really don't like it's lack of explanations for diagnosing problems. I am very poor at diagnosing but can follow repair directions and enjoy doing my own work. I need to fix an intake gasket leak (top of the list) but it really does not discuss it well and I am not sure where to start. As I understand it takes about 6-7 hours. Thank you.

I have the LR service manual and it is a must have for DIY, good step by step detailed instructions and diagnosis. If you shop around you can get them for under $100, check on ebay too. You can also find them on ebay on CD in PDF format for a fraction of the actual manual cost.

Alan-
Bentley Publishers puts out a Rover V-8 rebuild manual, ISBN 0-8376-0665-9. Have you ever used this? I am considering getting both.
