I was wondering if there is any way to waterproof the lower half of the Disc1 doors. A Month or so ago I was stuck at an angle, on the drivers side in a deep watery mud pit. With the doors kept closed the interior flooded. I know that when forging deep water, it would be useless. But for the time stuck in a pit it would be nice. Any solutions?

am I the only one who still calls it duct tape (no offense Phillip)? It drives me crazy that it is actually sold as "duck" tape now (with a picture of a damn duck to top it all off). Maybe I'm just anal.

FWIW, the Disco's supposedly have an issue with the bottom of the doors rusting due to the drain holes becoming clogged. Whatever you use to seal the doors, it might be wise to make it temporary (e.g. only use it when 4-wheeling), and allow the doors their typical drainage when not wheeling.

Carter, you and me both. Duck tape, "medium strips" on highways, people who say they are "flustrated", dangling prepositions ("Where'd you get that FROM") my anal list goes on and on. Does me no good, and my doors aren't waterproofed, either, LOL! :)

carter,

the really crazy thing is that it was invented by a guy named Duck and was called 200mph tape for years before it was every used to tape up a heating duct. it also was only available in military olive green because the first purpose of it was to cover bullet holes in military aircraft without the need to cut and rivet a new piece of metal into the fusalage.

I hope everyone caught this part of the article:

"And, we are delighted with the large array of colors that they manufacture (including camo tape and new “X-Treme Tape” which comes in hot day-glo colors)."

I know what to get Kyle for Christmas! X-Treme-ly day glow PINK!

Karen :)
