1996 Discovery I 4.0L V8 84k miles. I drove it 80 miles this morning in 20* temps, parked for 45 minutes, then headed home. After about 10 mins, the truck wouldn't rev. I was cruising at 50mph, speed decreased and rpm's fluctuated. Giving it gas felt as if I was choking it. Then it started revving high but not moving any faster. I fiddled w/ the diff lock lever just in case it was going into neutral? After about 2 minutes of this stumbling, it drove fine the remaining 75 miles, no issues at all. No codes, no warning lights. Relatively fresh tuneup. Is this just an anomaly? Is there anything I should be checking? This vehicle is kinda new-to-me and I don't have any manuals yet. Thanks. joe |

Sounds like the VSS (speed sensor). Easy fix call Nathan at Discount Rovers. |
