On my 1996 3.9l V8 Disco (Aus build), the cruise control actuator hose is connected directly to what I think is the breather connection on the rocker cover. I have two questions, hopefully someone may be able to help. 1. The vacuum hose that comes from the vacuum pump has a 'T' section near the firewall (LHS from rear) this I presume continues to the pedals. The hose that currently connects to the 'T' goes nowhere, should this go to the Actuator for the cruise control? And secondly if it does, where does the hose go from the rocker cover? This is puzzeling me, I purchased the car in the condition I find it now. I dont understand why the cruise control actuator hose would be connected to what appears to be the rocker cover breather. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance Roly PS this was also posted on alt.fan.landrover...no ideas yet. |

Roly, Hose from "Tee" connection goes as follows: one side is supposed to go to the vacuum pump located below the LH headlamp. One goes to the throttle linkage and the other goes thru the fire wall and to the brake (and clutch) pedal(s). I have the workshop manual and can assist. Bill M. |

Thanks Bill, I have connected from the 'T' to the Actuator...it just seemed right. Sure enough the cruise control works treat on testing this arvo. What I am now stuck with is where the hose from the rocker cover breather goes. It makes sense to go to the little port on the side of the air filter housing. I am not 100% sure any suggestions. Thanks mate Roly |
