Wow, I seem to have quite dirty headliner. I have a 2000 disco 2 and I was wondering if anyone had ideas on how to clean one of these things. Anything I could use that I might have at home? Carpet cleaner foam? Thanks- Evan

you might have to live with it... most headliners do NOT like moisture... if you get it wet, the fabric will seperate from foam & cardboard backing... If you try to clean it don't be surprised to see the headliner sagging in the near future...

Well, try it with caution (YMMV) but I have successfully used baby wipes on my VW. I bought a used VW corrado about 3 years ago and the car came with a somewhat dirty looking headliner. Someone from the VW Vortex forum told me that he used baby wipes on his and it worked. Well, it did the same for me and three years later, it's still nice and hasn't sagged. FWIW, YMMV, yada yada yada

I use Simple Green. Get a rag over your finger, soak the rag at your fingertip with SG and dab the spot. I have removed all of my headliner spots, grease stains, and kids paw marks. That stuff is really a pretty good all-around cleaner.
