I did a few searches but didn't find as much info as I would like for this particular question so here goes. I currently have (4) Hella 4000s on my roof rack. 2 Euros and 2 Cornering. I'm about to put two more on my RTE bumper. What should I put down there? I do a lot of desert, but it's not open dune Dakar style. I don't have any pencils so I could move the euros to the bumper and put pencils up top but I sort of doubt I need a 2 mile long pair of lasers up there. Dave at susquehanna recommended two fogs down there. Anyone tried that? I'd like to have more "full" light out front but I don't like the idea of any lens that limits part of the area of output. Why doesn't hella just make 4000 floods? And before you ask, 1)I can't afford HIDs 2)I know that Kyle van Kool runs pencils, so don't worry, I'm thinking about it. (I already have a white D1 so I don't want to try too hard to be him) thanks for your input and happy trails |

Jack, this really has been talked about to death so a good search through the archives should yield some results but in opinion I would got for the fogs. I don't have 4000's but I have a pair of driving on the front and a pair of driving and a pair of fogs on the top for iluminating closer tot the car. I have driving on the front becasue I like to use them at night on the road as brights. |

Jack, Repeat after me, "you never have enough light" If I were you, and you being desert guy; I would remove the 2 Euro center beams down the the bumper and install 2 Pencil beams in their place on the adventure rack. Then, replace your headlight bulbs with some nice Hella +50% types and Man oh man, that would be a lot of light! Just an opionion, Paul '00 ROVER |

Fogs angled down, so you can see what you are getting into when you are at unusual angels (Or is it angles) |
