This brings up a funny story. The dealership was telling me about some young kid who came into some money. He went and bought a D2 and one evening on one of his night wheeling trips, he got blasted and thought it would look cool to douse his spare tire with lighter fluid and go ripping through the woods with it. He ended up trashing the truck and melted the rubber off the spare but the dealership said that some how warranty covered it. Not sure how that could be but that was a first for them when the truck showed up there the next day. I'm guessing that warranty policies have been revised due to this incident.

He came in and was watching the yotas making it through and he decided to just take it in, the water is was at about 4 feet in the deepest part and the mud was at least 1 foot deep below the water, sandy clayish mudy gook. He would get stuck either way but, he went in and litle way than he let off the gas, flooded his engine, he would not of made it anyway, but the fact he let off the gas lets me know that these dotcom rookies need to stay off the dirt. I remember, this guy was consulting his Discovery owners handbook before he decided to go in! lol my yota tore that pit up, my rovers seats are clean, I intend to keep them that way :) I have yet to touch the tires in the dirt! its just that trucks take so damn long to clean. keep in mind this mud pit is 100 feet long if not longer, a little bit means like 20 feet across, this shot was taken when he was dragged out, he attemped to wash a lot of the gook off, he did get a good amount considering how deep he went, I wish I got a picture of him when he was all the way in, I guess i was too into the fact that someone took a new rover in that mudpit, he is lucky that he had spare jeans and was smart enough to toss someone his polo sweatshirt. lol
