Still under warranty by 10K - I have a leak

- I know I know it doesn't have fluid if its not leaking, but since the dealer will do the warranty work why not.

The leak is coming from midway on the truck. Right in front of the where the drive shaft meets/goes into this round black (looks like a brake drum) device. Next there is a metal box. Looks like oil coming from the back of this box. Sorry but I am not that technical. No leaks anywhere else. What is this? Thanks in advance.

That's your transfer box, where you choose hi / lo ratio

You have a rear output leak on your transfer case.

So how bad is this? How the hell do you add fluid to this? Expensive fix? thanks

You could try either putting in some stop leak, or a thicker oil such as 145, or just top it up every now and again. The filler is just behind the brake drum. But since its only got 10K miles and is under warrantee, you'd better get it fixed properly.
