I've read some of the discussions about rotors and brakes, and I'm not sure how to remove the rotor on a DII. Can anyone tell me? |

In a nutshell... (condensed version) 1. Remove wheel 2. Remove caliper (two 12 point bolts) 3. Remove philips set screw on rotor near wheel studs. 4. Remove the rotor with a BFH. That's it. Very easy. Sometimes the philips screw will be frozen and may take some coaxing. Just replace it and don't worry about saving it. Same goes for the rotor itself. |

The rotor may be a BITCH to get off. See the discussion titled "Brake rotor rusted rtight onto the lug bolts" |

I went down to the auto store and got an impact driver and beat the hell out of the thing. It came off crying. Thanks |

BFH beatings produced not-so-pleasant sounds from my steering box. Still, I beat on mine for a while before shelling out for a puller. |

What is the puller central bolt pushing on? Are you supposed to push directly on the hub nut, or put a bridge across the lug nut bolts? |

I didn't use a bridge, but doing so wouldn't be a bad idea, IMHO. |
