If it is the service engine light, Its behind the right( passenger) kick panel below the dash board. Its a brown relay with a red plug. Its up high above several yellow relays. Almost under the dash. If I were you, I would unplug and throw it away. It won't bother you anymore. Its b.s. anyway. |

Just remove the two pins that hold the side panel on and you should see it. It is the big brown relay that has a land rover sticker on top |

Hi, I have the same problem. I found the darn thing and tried everything, took it apart, tried running without it, but the "service engine" light stays on. I have a '96 Disco. Is there any way to get this stinking light to go out besides going to the dealer and getting taken to the cleaners ? There is no reset button on mine. It does have a battery in it, Panasonic - I think, but it was soldered in there very securely. BTW - I have the same problem with the "SRS" light. I changed the battery and it came on. Everyone I've talked to says only the dealer can get the thing to go off. Cheers, Jim Legge |

Jim, You will have to go to the dealer to get SRS out. The only thing the dealer will do is remove the relay. Pull the bulb if it stays on. The service engine light is just a service reminder, not a fault indicator Joe |
