Hey all, It seems the factory alarm on my 99 DII can be set off by as little as a fucking knat fart. Is there any way of reducing the sensitivity on it? I of course don't want to disable it completely but I'm forced to leave the truck unlocked on windy days to keep it from going off all the damn time. Any way of locking the vehicle without activating the alarm? TIA, Jason |

Jason, Inside your truck are 2 alarm sensors. motion sensors. Pop them off and unplug them. Your alarm will still work but the motion detectors will be out of the loop. Any door being opened will still trigger the alarm. you must also have all windows up. |

Jason, A second press of the alarm button on the key also disables the motion sensors. Designed for when you want to locak and alrm the car with people/dog inside. The sensitivity of these sensors is adjustable, speak to your dealer. www.worst4x4.freeservers.com |

There was also a recall way back when (1999?) for the motion sensor. You might want to check if that recall was done on your car. |
