Bruce,

whereabouts in SoCal?
I just got Ricochet in San Diego, and am very pleased with the speed and everything. It's a cellular-based, 900MHz, wireless ISP. $45/mo like cable or DSL. Modem was free. Ricochet operates in Denver, CO, and San Diego, CA. In San Diego, most of the city is now covered.

Bruce, att broadband has merged with comcast and I think that att already provides cable internet access down in so cal. they are having great deals, 24.95 for 4 months than 45.00 after that, free install and equipment. I love my attbi, its fast and consistant.

Peter
just curious when you got Ricochet and who the provider is. I did the design work for the network roll-out for them. The compay at that time was Metrocom and was heavly funded by Paul Allen of MicroSoft. But in the end they called it quits and went bankrupt I wodered what they did withall the infastructor. and apparently it is still up and running.
