I did a search and I couldn't find the string for replacing your antenna on a Disco. I know it has come up several dozen times. I do remember someone reccomending some time ago to just remove the fender to get to the antenna that it was easier. Any help would be appreciated. Um.. and talk to me like I'm an idiot. |

There was a post on this board that said the writer had removed the fender but I just went in through the wheel tub: *Remove R-front wheel *Remove little plastic "buttons" that secure plastic wheel tub (the inside wheel-well liner) to the metal fender. I was careful not to maul them too badly so I could reuse them when I reassembled. *Remove and replace antenna. To route the antenna lead, I did remove the glovebox to make it easier. I thought this design was a little too much work to replace an antenna on a vehicle that is very likely to be in situations where they get wiped off by branches and bushes fairly often, but, there you go. -Jim |

Thanks Jim. Did you feel it was difficult to get to the antenna from there or pretty cut and dry? What tools did you use? Thanks again. |
