I've heard both of these names for 4.0 engine mgt systems. What are the differences, when did LR change from one to the other? From what I read in during my search was that Bosch was prefered, why? I have a 99D2. It has a Bosch distributer, does it have a Bosch system? Just curious, -John |

I believe all D2's have bosch ignitions and ECU no distibutor. This was done when BMW was in charge of Land Rover. Apparently bosch electrics are superior. Gems was before bosch. Hercules before that? -Chris |
