I just mounted a cheapo fish finder to my Scadden pontoon boat and was wondering if you had better (smaller) ideas of how to power it than a lawn mower battery. I have lots of fish finder experience but never tried any alternative power sources. I respect your ingenuity in other matters so I figured I'd ask you for ideas before I hit the fishing boards and get to hear all the pansies whine about the "ethics" of using a fish finder while fly-fishing. I'm not going to be running it much, just turning it on occasionally to check the depth, find a drop off, ect. -Thanks

Carter, thats an easy one gel cell use this you wont regret it,its waterproof leakproof, works in all temps with no change in output. It also will last as long running a LCD graph as a huge marine battery. I use them for running my vexilar 3 color graph ice fishing and they are head and shoulders better then anything else out there they also weigh very little and would be perfect for a float tube thom |

when your there check out the vexilar 3 color flasher...you havent fished till youv fished a vexilar! it has 3 cones...the outside one shows in green the next one yellow the center cone red...you can see your jig going up and down in red(below you) as a fish comes in it shows up in green then yellow then turns red as...Fish on! it turns it into an interactive video game. if it goes green yellow green you know the fish refused your bait, time for a new color jig or a different presentation. |
