today my disco 95 started stalling all of sudden...it started to rev high while stopped then it would stall...not all of the time. sometimes just high idle. recently and i mean last week the base idle was adjusted lower not higher. also the stepper is fairly new. the problem was intermittent today, but as the day wore on it seemed to get worse. i mean stop and go traffic. havent had a chance to look good under the hood. its dark outside. any thoughts on this.

Let me get this right, it would revhigh from idle and then stall? Is it doing it only while you are stopped? Also, how high is high?

A while back, mine was doing something similar when it was stopped and in park/neutral (would go from idle up to about 1000 RPM and then die) and was also not returning to idle when I let my foot off the gas, it would just drop and die. Ended up tracing it back to a dirty injector relay.

Did you find a fix? It appears that many Disco owners are having this problem.

Check the Air inlet system, I used to encounter this symtom.
