I currently have an Handspring Visor Deluxe. I have seen Earthmate GPS receivers on E-Bay that connect to the Visor. Has anyone tried this combination? Is the display, accuracy, software worth the ~$90.00 to use this for on/off-road navigation? I would like to hear some opinions. Ideally, I would prefer a laptop/Earthmate or a dedicated GPS, but the funds are low at this time. Thanks, Chris |

I have a Garmin one that attaches to a Visor and its accurate and all...the only issue you'll have is how many maps you can load onto your Visor (on board memory) because the unit connects up where you would normally add a memory module! So if you know where you are going, you can load in that particular map (they do it by sections of states) - that makes it a PITA, but it does work! Hope this helps..... Will |
