I just got one and have several questions.
If anyone is willing to help me out, please let me know.
Thanks.

Ask away. I don't own one but someone here I'm sure does and might be able to answer your question.

OK. Thanks. I have two questions:
1. auxiliary ventilation system- I have managed to figure out how to set it properly however, it does not seem to generate any sort of heat. The air is circulating but it is still freezing inside. My understanding from the manual was that the system detects temperature and adjusts it accordingly to some pre-set temperature. I think this temp must be already set in the computer and not adjustable by the driver but I can’t imagine it would be set to such an incredibly low temp.
Is something not working correctly or am I doing something wrong?

2. Bi-Xenon Headlights- Does anyone know how they work? I originally thought it meant that there was one xenon light for low beams and another for high. When I have my high beams on, it looks like the low beam xenon is on AND there is what looks to be a halogen light on also. Does this mean that the bi-xenon feature is that the low beam light changes it's projection when high beams are put on AND halogen high beams go on at the same time?

Thanks for your help>

Hmm... as for #2 Bi-Xenon is as you thought. Xenon high and Xenon low beams. You may want to check and make sure you actually got them if you paid for them.

As for #1 when I first read the question I thought you were refering to the same system BMW uses for AUX ventilation where you set a time for the system to purge the air (generally on hot days) in the car. The way it works in my 540 and X5 is I would set a time like 4:50pm and then the air would recirculate at that time for 15 minutes. So when I got into the car it wouldn't be so hot.

Al
I have a 540 also and was always curious who actually used that feature. I can now sleep at night. Also since I have never used it I thought it heated or cooled is that correct or does it just purge the air. Also have you ever used the "code" feature for stater disable.

Ventilation- it specifically says in the manual that it adjusts the temperature so I wouldn't think it would only circulate the air. Not sure what benefit that would be.

Bi-Xenon- The reason I suspect there is only one xenon lamp with bi-xenon lights is because it takes time for the xenon to fire up and you cannot quickly turn on a xenon light to flash someone. For that reason, some bi-xenon lights are designed to have a deflector that just changes the projection on the beam when you switch from low to high.
