I have heard about some front end body damage by the grill guard while being pulled out of the mud. Has anybody welded up their genuine LR guard onto the frame???? Any thoughts why not to???? Thanks..... |

Why bother? If it is like most grill guard incidents I have seen the problem isn't how strong the mount is but how much leverage is provided due to how low it mounts and how high the grill guard sticks up. I've never seen mounts fail but have watched a few grill guards bend (sometimes into body work), none of this was with the Land Rover grill guard though so take it w/ a grain of salt. |
