Looking into buying a higher mileage Disco or RR and would like to hear owners experiences(good or bad) with you Rover. Thanks in advance! |

I owned a 88 Range Rover for two years. I didn't know the actual miles, since the odometer had been changed, but they were up there. Tough rig, it kept on going and going. It had a healthy appetite for new parts and repairs. I enjoyed working on it, and learned much about rovers and engines. It was the little things that drove me crazy. IE: Door locks would get stuck, plastic parts were starting to get brittle, wires were worn. Some parts simply not avaiable. Hope that helps! -John |

sometimes it is worth it to buy an older car that is in decent shape, rather than something cheaper that needs repairs. especially true with this one. rd |

The Rover is easy to work on especially the older models. I have had 97 and 98 both of which I do my own servicing. They can be quirky but I have learned not to take it to the dealer for small problems. |

I'm at 135-136,000 miles on my '96 Disco, changed plugs and wires last night(finally), ran a great 400 miles today. I change oil/filter every 3k, and like John said about his RRC, lots of maint., they love that stuff. Overall, I would feel confident hopping in there in the morning and driving it from Knoxville, TN to Asheville, NC in the snow, which is where I have to be in the A.M... later.. and good luck..R S |

I've got one (RR) with 155k or so and it's a daily driver. I've not taken a wrench to it in over 8 months. I have another daily driver RR with about 120k and it's got a few minor issues but is still very reliable and fun. -P |

I have a daily driver 94 Disco with 257,000 on it, no problems and just took a 2400 mile round trip to Lousiana and back without incident. Get one that is well maintained and don't worry too much about the miles. Our DI has never had major work done, just keeps going & going (on regular gas) |

Same as Joe, 95 with 176,000. Only major repair was power steering pump. I think the 95's are just lucky!!! |
