Hi,

Like everbody else, I wanted to know if the CDL was coming back for the DII, especially since I would like to add the bigger engined DII to my family. I told them I was inches away from buying a G-wagon but would hold out if they could answer the CDL issue.

I received a call today from LRNA and was told it should be available mid-year (when 2004 models come out).

Really.........that's what they said.

I wonder if they will be willing to reprogram our traction control to work like that on the 2004 model?

yeah and Santa Claus will be delivering it via everyone's chimney (if no chimney, he will come up through toilet) ... boy, it sure would be nice to know if it really was true ... Thanks for sharing that, curquieta :)

Maybe if we asked them when the new Defender without IFS will be available in the US, along with TD5 engines...

Actually, I think I'd rather have the 300TDi. I know all the positives of the TD5, but part of the reason I plan to convert my Disco to a 300TDi is to get rid of a lot of the electrikery crap related to the engine.

What with all the Irag and North Korea war talk, I want something that will still run if there is a nuclear air burst. One that's close enough to for an electromagnetic pulse, but not close enough to fry me. ;-)

Tom:
When it gets that bad, come by and pick me up, I have a spare self-contained breathing appraratus to protect us from the chemical/biological stuff, at least until the seven bottles of air run out.

Peace,
Paul

That last comment was a joke. I had in mind someone asking, very concerened, in the early 80's I guess, how they could protect their video tapes from the electomagnetic field generated by an air burst.

But nonetheless....I'll keep your offer in mind ;-)
