I'm about to purchase a '97 Range Rover. It is the 4.6 HSE. Has about 70k miles on it. The condition is perfect, absolutely flawess. Looked as if it came off the show room. Its been serviced and has all the receipts. The price is 17,000. Is this a good deal?

What kind of mechanical problems, etc. should I be looking for? Also, how was mechanical history for this year?

Thank guys.

www.rangerovers.net

That site should help you from the buying aspect. As for prices, well, $17k doesn't seem all that bad to me. I paid slightly less money for a truck that was considerably older (relative manufacture date/purchase date) and had about 10k fewer miles.

If the truck is as nice as you say then the price seems pretty good. You can try this link to get a feel for pricing:

Gives a good feel on the different models.

A customer just bought a 97 4.6 with 16k on it for $28k.
Absolutely spotless inside, outside, and underneath.
